Scouting Adventures at the Perot Museum (MB Workshops going on all year)
Scouting Adventures are the action-packed way to get your Scouts excited about working toward their advancement and studying the world around them. Our Scouting Adventures are monthly opportunities for Scouts to get their hands dirty with science while they work their way toward their next badge!

Traffic Safety & Truck Transportation at the Great American Truck Show (typically in August)
Traffic Safety and Truck Transportation badges will be completed in conjunction with the Great American Truck Show in Dallas. The instructor will have materials to hand out and present. Limited to first 100 Scouts. Once all slots full - email info@truckerbuddy.org to be added to the waitlist. Families encouraged to register to attend the truck show while the scouts are working on the merit badge. It's fun!

Please join us for a great day of merit badge classes taught by enthusiastic scout leaders, dedicated career professionals and avid hobbyists. We have great accessible facilities and qualified and enthusiastic merit badge counselors to help the scouts learn and be successful.
To get the most out of this MBU, you must complete the prerequisites ahead of class, look over and be familiar with the merit badge book before class, and participate fully in class while you are attending the merit badge mania. Leaders should know their scouts and help them register for appropriate merit badges for their age and rank.

Aviation Merit Badge at Frontiers of Flight Museum (Oct and Jan)
The Frontiers of Flight Museum offers the unique opportunity to learn from FAA-certified pilots and aviation experts as part of our BSA Aviation Merit Badge clinics! Complete the Aviation Merit Badge requirements in our one day clinic !

Scouts BSA Merit Badge Program (typically in March in Plano)
Do you have a Scout who needs the Fishing or Fly Fishing Merit Badge? The Boy Scouts of America (BSA), in collaboration with the TFFBF and Take Me Fishing.org), will offer the Merit Badge classes at no charge exclusively to active and participating Scouts. Students will rotate through a day-long program that exposes them to a variety of topics from casting to fly tying, all of which will be taught by BSA-certified instructors. The class is free, and Scouts are encouraged to wear their uniforms to the Texas Fly Fishing Festival.

BSA Merit Badges at Adventure Scuba (troop or individual)
Adventure Scuba and Snorkeling Center offers you the ability to earn several Boy Scout Merit Badges at our facility. We have approved Merit Badge Counselors on staff to assist you with obtaining your Boy Scout Merit Badges. We have an indoor, heated swimming pool for all water activities and a state of the art classroom for all class related activities.
We teach the following Merit Badges: Lifesaving Merit Badge, Scuba Diving Merit Badge, Swimming Merit Badge, and First Aid Merit Badge. You can register as a group or as an individual scout.

Orienteering at NTOA (troop)
NTOA is happy to support Boy Scouts pursuing their orienteering merit badge. A dedicated merit badge briefing will take place at NTOA events. For 2-day meets, the briefing will be on Day 1 only. Scouts should check the schedule for each event for exact timing. Troops must provide their own 2-deep leadership or parents should accompany Scouts to the meets. NTOA will provide instruction and courses to complete the merit badge requirements. The merit badge requires participation in 3 orienteering courses and working as an official at one meet. Generally, Scouts can complete one course per meet day.
Scout Archery Merit Badge (troop or individual)
We offer a merit badge seminar to complete all the requirements in a three hour Saturday 9am-12 class. This is for groups of 10 or more. Cost is $25 per scout. A single scout may join a seminar that is scheduled, fee is $25. A scout must come prepared. The scout is to have read the archery merit badge pamphlet and completed the worksheet. The completed worksheet must be brought to class to be admitted.

Bring completed MB workbook. Incomplete requirement work can be completed with a BSA certified counselor, cost is $35/hr. This can be shooting requirement, or other material testing such as arrow repair, string making, etc.
